In the sentence

"She says she has no friends"

, even though the number of friends is zero (less than two), why is "friends" still plural?

As an English learner, I have learnt the rule that if a countable noun is more than two, it is written under plural form. Therefore, the determiner "no" in this specific case really confuses me. I'd appreciate it if you could explain this for me!

Thank you in advance!!
